The 39 Steps Fairfax Theatre reviews
Disappointing...
Vince Neil, always the Crue's weakest link, was at his worst with voice-cracking, speech-slurring, lyric-forgetting. Neil's disrespectful behavior towards the fans left a lasting impression. Opening for Kiss last year, the band was sharp, but this time they disappointed.
Tommy Lee emerged from smoke for an entertaining drum solo, while Mick Mars' stiff presence contrasted with his blistering guitar solos. Nikki Sixx was engaged but wasted time on self-indulgent storytelling.
The flawlessly professional Alice Cooper and his tight band highlighted The 39 Steps' sloppiness. This shoddy performance felt like a final money grab. It's unnecessary to insult fans by showing up unprepared. Remember them like the last time, not this. Skip this tour if you saw them before.
